Join the Discord
Everything happens in the RustyChip server.
Pick ChipDL
Click Start in #get-your-licenses. The bot opens a private thread. Pick ChipDL and your plan, and it sends its GCash QR code.
Send your receipt
Pay, then run /verify in the thread with your name and a screenshot of the receipt. Once it's approved you get the Customer role and access to #download.
Run /license
Copy the Machine ID from ChipDL's activation screen and run /license. The bot sends you your key, by DM or in your thread.
FAQ
Questions.
Which systems does it run on?
Windows 10 and 11, and Linux: the .deb for Ubuntu, Debian and Mint, the .rpm for Fedora, or the AppImage for any distro. macOS is coming.
Which browsers does the extension work with?
Chrome, Edge, Brave and Firefox. Install the ChipDL extension, then paste the pairing token from ChipDL's Settings once.
Can it download YouTube or Netflix videos?
No. ChipDL saves direct video files and non-encrypted HLS streams. It doesn't download from YouTube and doesn't get around DRM, so Netflix and other paid streaming sites won't work.
Does the extension send my data anywhere?
No. Links, cookies and headers go only to the ChipDL app on your own computer. Nothing is sent to us or anyone else, and there's no tracking.
What happens when my year ends?
ChipDL reminds you a week before. When it ends, the app asks for a new key. Buy again and run /verify. If you renew early, the new year starts when the old one ends.
Can I switch from yearly to lifetime?
Yes. Buy the lifetime license and run /verify. The key you get never ends.
Can I use one license on two PCs?
No. Each license is tied to one Machine ID. You can buy more than one license for your other PCs.
What if I reset Windows or get a new PC?
Your Machine ID changes, so your old key stops working. DM @maxxineq the new Machine ID from ChipDL's activation screen and you get a replacement key for free, up to 3 times a year.
Windows warns about the installer. Is it safe?
ChipDL isn't code-signed yet, so SmartScreen says "Windows protected your PC". Click More info, then Run anyway. Only download it from the #download channel. A copy from anywhere else could be fake.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within 7 days if ChipDL won't activate or run on your PC. DM @maxxineq. Your key is switched off after the refund.
